Mining Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a competent Mining Engineer to enhance our team. You will oversee the planning and execution of mining operations and ensure adherence to best practices in safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological data to inform mining strategies.
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of mining equipment.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet targets.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety strategies.
• Manage relationships with contractors and external stakeholders.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Evaluate the performance of mining operations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure contingency plans are in place.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining engineering or related field
