Pet Groomer

Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and passionate Pet Groomer to join our friendly team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have experience in grooming various animals, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process. This role involves bathing, cutting, and styling pets' fur, along with providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality grooming services, including washes, cuts, and styling.
• Interact with pets gently and confidently to minimize stress.
• Uphold a high level of hygiene and safety in the grooming area.
• Educate pet owners about grooming maintenance and health issues.
• Observe pet behavior and report any concerns to the grooming manager.
• Participate in team meetings to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Animal Science or related field is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years in a grooming or veterinary setting preferred.

Technical Skills

• Grooming Equipment Knowledge
• Pet First Aid

• Empathy
• Time Management

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification for Pets

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with specialty breeds: Familiarity with grooming needs of specific dog breeds.
