Welding Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Welding Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in various welding techniques and able to manage projects effectively. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of welding processes in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key technical authority on welding-related issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes.
• Ensure that all welding equipment is well maintained and calibrated.
• Liaise with clients to assure quality expectations are met.
• Develop training programs for staff to ensure compliance with safety practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of welding experience in an engineering capacity

• Material Science
• Welding Software

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CAD software: Experience in using CAD software for designing welding fixtures and layouts.
• Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Knowledge of NDT methods for weld integrity assessment.
