Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our health department in Cape Town. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of health programs, conducting health assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote public health initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to improving community health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze public health data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate with various organizations to ensure comprehensive public health services.
• Plan and execute health promotion and disease prevention programs.
• Facilitate workshops and trainings aimed at enhancing community health knowledge.
• Monitor compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports for health initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between the health department and the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related discipline
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health initiatives and community outreach
