Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer at CivilTech Engineering in Durban, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and oversight of mechanical systems and components. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving and is eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and simulations using CAD software.
• Assist in the procurement of materials and services.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors.
• Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing processes.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the engineering field with a focus on mechanical systems

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Problem Solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with computer-aided engineering tools: Experience with tools for simulation and analysis of mechanical systems.
• Leadership experience in engineering projects: Prior experience leading technical teams on engineering projects.
