Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our skilled engineering team in East London. The successful applicant will have hands-on experience with mechanical systems, assisting in maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Identify mechanical problems through diagnostic tests.
  • Foster collaboration with engineering teams for design improvements.
  • Document and report on mechanical system performance.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the commissioning of new projects.
  • Provide training on mechanical systems to team members.
  • Effectively manage parts inventory and tool usage.
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives in equipment upgrades.
  • Act as a point of contact for mechanical queries and issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant mechanical experience.
