Job Description

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Animal Care Associates, you will play a pivotal role in delivering quality healthcare to our animal patients. In addition to performing surgeries, you will collaborate with our team to educate pet owners about preventative care and health management. We are looking for a compassionate professional dedicated to animal health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate animal health through examinations and medical histories.
  • Perform intricate surgical procedures, including sterilisation and emergency care.
  • Work closely with animal care staff and specialists for referrals.
  • Engage pet owners with empathetic communication during consultations.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in veterinary medicine and practices.
  • Help train junior staff and interns in veterinary procedures.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper handling of medications and supplies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Postgraduate qualification in veterinary surgery is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of clinical experience preferred
