Job Description

As a Continuous Miner Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining continuous mining equipment. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong safety mindset and technical expertise in mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all continuous mining machinery in line with industry standards.
• Enforce and maintain high safety standards on-site.
• Carry out maintenance tasks on equipment as scheduled.
• Assist with the setup and dismantling of mining setups as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Log operational data and report findings to management.
• Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Certification in mining equipment operation is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underground mining
