Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate veterinarian to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating pets, providing preventative care, and educating pet owners on health management. This role requires dedication and a love for animals, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a diverse range of medical conditions in pets.
• Perform surgical procedures confidently and competently.
• Provide compassionate care to anxious or nervous animals.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to promote trust and loyalty.
• Stay current with veterinary advances and techniques.
• Lead clinic initiatives focused on animal welfare.
• Ensure all treatments are conducted using best practices.
• Respond to emergencies with a calm and professional demeanor.
• Facilitate health screenings for shelter animals.
• Engage in regular communication with pet owners regarding care options.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
• Post-graduate qualification is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred

• Emergency Medicine

Certifications

• Board Certified in Veterinary Surgery
• Veterinary Dental Technician Certification
