Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team at Local Veterinary Clinic in Durban. In this role, you will assist veterinarians in the diagnosis and treatment of animals, perform clinical procedures, and provide excellent customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and assess animal health.
• Manage anesthesia and monitor patients during surgery.
• Participate in community outreach programs and events.
• Implement vaccination protocols and health checks.
• Assist with euthanasia procedures compassionately.
• Facilitate follow-up communications with pet owners post-treatment.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Veterinary Nursing or related field
• Professional accreditation is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in veterinary assistance
