Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Tax Consultant to provide high-quality tax consulting services to our clients in Port Elizabeth. You will analyze financial data, prepare tax returns, and develop strategies that will help clients minimize their tax liabilities while remaining compliant with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate calculations of tax liabilities for different business entities.
• Provide insights and strategies for tax optimization.
• Engage with clients to explain complex tax concepts in understandable terms.
• Review tax returns prepared by other staff and provide feedback.
• Continuously improve processes for tax compliance and reporting.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss ongoing tax projects and strategies.
• Actively contribute to the training of new team members in taxation processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance
• Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, CA) recommended

Experience

• 4+ years in a tax-related role with a strong focus on compliance

Certifications

• SAIT Tax Technician
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
