Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Port Elizabeth. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of animal medical conditions, performing surgeries, and providing outstanding client education. Ideal candidates are passionate about animal welfare, possess excellent clinical skills, and are committed to providing the highest standard of veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day practice operations.
• Implement health and safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies.
• Assist in community outreach and education programs.
• Evaluate and improve veterinary practices.
• Participate in case discussions and team meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in a specialisation is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of veterinary practice experience preferred.

• Anesthesia Management
• Pharmaceutical Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Customer Service

Certifications

• Veterinary General Practitioner Certificate
• Certification in Animal Behaviour

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
