Construction Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Construction Manager to oversee our construction operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project timelines and resource allocation effectively.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Manage and supervise site teams and subcontractors.
• Analyze and report on project progress to management regularly.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Initiate corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies.
• Participate in the selection and negotiation of contracts with subcontractors.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to discuss design modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and materials used.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Master's degree or professional certifications are advantageous

Experience

• Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience
