Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in East London. As a key member of our veterinary clinic, you will assist veterinarians with the care of animals, perform diagnostics, and ensure a positive experience for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Manage anesthesia protocols and monitor patients under sedation.
• Assist in the diagnostics and treatment of various conditions.
• Provide post-operative care and client follow-up.
• Document all procedures and treatments thoroughly.
• Engage in continuing education to stay current on veterinary practices.
• Contribute to team meetings to improve medical protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification

Experience

• 2+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practice

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
