Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to join our healthcare team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and be experienced in providing high-quality healthcare support. As a Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians to implement treatment plans. Your compassionate approach will play a crucial role in patient recovery and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and verify prescription orders while providing patient consultations.
• Conduct health assessment screenings for chronic diseases.
• Regularly update pharmacy protocols and policies.
• Engage in community outreach programs to enhance public awareness of health issues.
• Assist in the management of pharmacy operations and logistics.
• Contribute to the pharmacy’s clinical services by performing medication therapy reviews.
• Address and resolve patient inquiries regarding prescriptions and services.
• Promote safe medication practices to ensure patient safety.
• Keep abreast of new pharmaceutical research and trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Advanced certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in retail or clinical pharmacy

• Clinical Pharmacy

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist (SA)
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
