Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and evaluating health programs aimed at promoting community health and preventing disease. You will engage with local communities, conduct health assessments, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead health promotion activities within the community.
• Analyze data from health programs to recommend improvements.
• Engage with community leaders to foster health initiatives.
• Facilitate training workshops for health practitioners and volunteers.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders on health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or related field

Technical Skills

• Epidemiology
• Data Analysis

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
