Job Description

As a Casino Floorperson, you will supervise all activities on the casino floor to ensure compliance with regulations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of gaming operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper training and onboarding of new staff and dealers.
  • Conduct audits of gaming tables and report any discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gaming floor.
  • Implement and enforce casino policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to upper management on staff performance.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss operational improvements.
  • Engage with guests to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with security staff for safety protocols.
  • Promote team morale and a positive work environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • Any additional qualifications in Gaming or Hospitality is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Casino Dealer or similar role on the casino floor.
Technical Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of casino games
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
Certifications
  • Valid Casino Employee License
  • Additional certifications in Casino Management are advantageous
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Afrikaans: Conversational
