Software Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Software Engineer to join our Pretoria team. This role focuses on backend development, where you will be instrumental in designing and implementing high-quality software solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable systems that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing backend systems and applications.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet project deadlines.
• Write unit tests and integrate automated testing processes.
• Review code contributions from team members and provide feedback.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand and translate needs into technical specifications.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly sprints in an Agile environment.
• Develop and implement API endpoints and integrations.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimize application functionalities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of developing backend applications

Technical Skills

• Java
• Spring Framework

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent
