Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an innovative Chemical Engineer to enhance our production processes in Port Elizabeth. You will be involved in research and development, process design, and scaling up production methods. Your role will also include analyzing data to inform business decisions and collaborating closely with production teams to ensure high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Optimize chemical production processes to increase yield and reduce waste.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation of test results and project outcomes.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new processing equipment.
• Establish metrics to monitor process efficiency and product quality.
• Participate in safety audits and environmental assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in chemical engineering or process optimization

Languages
