The Cane Burner is responsible for efficiently and safely burning sugarcane fields during the harvest season. The successful candidate will ensure optimal yield by preparing the crop for harvesting while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Execute controlled burning of sugarcane fields to prepare for harvesting.
Prepare and maintain fire breaks to prevent uncontrolled fires.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of operations.
Adjust burning activities based on weather conditions.
Participate in training programs related to best practices in agricultural burning.
Document fuel consumption and other relevant burning activity metrics.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Assist in maintaining overall farm safety standards.
Conduct pre-burn site assessments.
Assist in educating new team members about burning protocols.
Requirements
Education

Experience
Previous experience in fieldwork or a similar role is an advantage.
