Heat Treating Equipment Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

As a Heat Treating Equipment Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will oversee and manage the heating process of metal billets in our manufacturing plant. This role requires a strong command of heat treatment processes and effective operation and maintenance of the heating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heating equipment systematically, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.
• Adjust settings based on quality checks to maintain product integrity.
• Inspect equipment and report any issues to the Production Manager without delay.
• Document heating cycles and results for quality assurance purposes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize heating processes.
• Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery used in the heating process.
• Ensure all safety equipment is in place and operational.
• Lead and participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience operating industrial heating equipment

Technical Skills

• Technical Drawing Interpretation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Awareness of Quality Management Systems (QMS): Familiarity with systems ensuring consistent quality in production.
