Community Outreach Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator who will be at the forefront of our community engagement efforts. This role involves planning, executing, and evaluating outreach programs, as well as establishing partnerships with local organizations to enhance our impact within Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Lead community outreach initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Assess community needs and design programs accordingly.
• Foster relationships with local leaders and organizations.
• Track community engagement metrics and analyze outcomes.
• Organize feedback sessions to gather community input.
• Support fundraising activities related to outreach programs.
• Create and distribute information about programs and services.
• Train and mentor volunteers and interns.
• Utilize social media platforms to promote outreach efforts.
• Represent the organization at community events and meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Community Development or Social Sciences
• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field are desirable

Experience

• Experience in grassroots community organizing is highly valued
