Residential Interior Planner

Job Description

We are searching for a creative and detail-oriented Residential Interior Planner to join our dynamic design team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to transform client visions into stunning spaces.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed design proposals, including layouts, color schemes, and furniture selection.
• Collaborate with a team of designers to enhance overall project creativity.
• Administer project timelines and keep clients informed on progress.
• Research and source materials and furnishings, ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Conduct client meetings to gather feedback and refine design concepts.
• Prepare and manage contracts and project documentation.
• Monitor project budgets and expenses throughout project lifecycle.
• Advise clients on interior design trends and innovations.
• Participate in trade shows and networking events to promote the company and its services.
• Actively contribute to team brainstorming sessions to drive innovative design solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
• Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture is acceptable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in residential design projects

Technical Skills

• 3DS Max
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)
• Certified Green Professional (CGP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Experience in client presentations: Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
