Event Planner

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. You'll be responsible for coordinating and executing a range of events, from intimate gatherings to large corporate functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for various types of events, including catering, audio visual, and décor.
• Develop and manage event timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and increase visibility.
• Assess venue options and negotiate contracts to achieve the best rates.
• Create visual layouts for events considering guest flow and engagement.
• Design and implement event themes that align with client expectations.
• Create presentations and reports regarding event outcomes for clients.
• Manage onsite staff and volunteers to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain accurate records of event costs and expenditures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in high-profile event planning

• Social Media Marketing

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
