Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our dynamic compliance management team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and a passion for ensuring organizational compliance. You will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs that adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments.
• Develop training materials and conduct sessions for staff.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in compliance legislation.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulators.
• Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Draft and review compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on compliance metrics.
• Support the Compliance Manager in strategic planning.
• Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Law, or similar field
• Certification in Compliance or Risk Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in compliance management or related roles
