Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Risk and Compliance Officer to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, identifying risks, and implementing effective control measures. You'll play a critical role in promoting a culture of compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance initiatives and risk assessments to ensure effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Analyze and interpret regulations pertaining to our industry, ensuring compliance at all levels.
  • Facilitate internal compliance training sessions and workshops for employees across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the internal audit team to align compliance activities with overall audit strategies.
  • Maintain and update compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Investigate compliance violations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Track and report on compliance metrics to demonstrate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in developing an organizational compliance culture that prioritizes ethical conduct.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Postgraduate degree is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance or risk management
