Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various systems in our Johannesburg facility. We are looking for team players who are enthusiastic about maintenance work and committed to keeping our equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance schedules and checklists.
• Diagnose problems and determine the best course of action.
• Engage in continuous learning of new maintenance technologies.
• Implement best practices for equipment upkeep.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
• Report any safety hazards to management immediately.
• Participate in meetings to discuss maintenance strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance environments

Technical Skills

• Preventive Maintenance
• Welding

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Time Management

Certifications

• Forklift Operator Certification
• OSH Act Compliance Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of TPM practices: Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance strategies.
• ERP system experience: Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems.
