Job Description

We are on the lookout for a diligent Compliance Officer to oversee and monitor compliance processes within our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of compliance policies and regulations, and be proactive in identifying compliance risks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations meet legal standards while supporting the company's mission for integrity and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of compliance programs to mitigate risks.
• Develop communication strategies to promote compliance awareness.
• Research and analyze compliance trends and regulations.
• Work with external partners to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide guidance on regulatory changes and their implications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Law
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in compliance or risk management role

• Compliance Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
• Compliance Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Strong understanding of South African legislation: Knowledge of the regulatory environment in South Africa, including FSB and NCA.
• Previous experience in audit processes: Familiarity with internal audit processes will be considered beneficial.
