Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Centurion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical systems and will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring optimal operation of various mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement solutions.
• Support the engineering team in product development.
• Update maintenance logs and records regularly.
• Help train junior technicians and apprentices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Trade certification in Mechanical Engineering
• Higher education qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Fabrication
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of hydraulic systems: Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is beneficial.
• Project management experience: Previous involvement in project management within engineering contexts.
