Job Description

As a Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting essential surveys for our mining operations. You will collaborate closely with various departments, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of data that impacts mine development and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced surveying equipment to conduct surveys of mining sites.
• Interpret mine design plans and translate them into surveying instructions.
• Maintain detailed survey records and prepare reports.
• Provide technical support and advice to geologists and engineers.
• Implement safety protocols during surveying operations.
• Advise on compliance with regulatory requirements regarding surveying work.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field

Experience

• Experience in open-pit mining and underground mining preferred.

Technical Skills

• GPS Technology
• Laser Scanners

Advantageous

• Experience in mine planning and design: Understanding of the design and planning phases in mining operations.
• Membership of a relevant professional body: Membership in institutions such as the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors.
