Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Youth Worker in Port Elizabeth, where you will work directly with young individuals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing programmes that promote personal growth, resilience, and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with youth to build trusting relationships and foster positive interactions.
• Design and lead engaging group activities that promote teamwork and personal development.
• Conduct assessments to identify individual youth needs and create tailored support plans.
• Collaborate with external organizations to enhance programme offerings.
• Document and report on programme participation and outcomes.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing insights and lessons learned.
• Develop outreach strategies to engage more youth in our programmes.
• Provide regular feedback to the Youth Program Manager on programme challenges and successes.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Youth Work or Social Sciences
• Postgraduate qualifications are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working with youth in a support role
