Public Health Specialist

Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, your role will involve assessing community health needs, designing evidence-based health programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. You will also collaborate with local health services and aid in policy formulation to foster better health outcomes in underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor local health issues affecting the community.
• Design outreach strategies to improve health literacy among community members.
• Facilitate partnerships between health providers and community organizations.
• Create informational materials for public distribution.
• Report on health trends and provide recommendations to improve health strategies.
• Participate in public health committees and working groups.
• Mentor junior public health professionals and interns.
• Support grant writing and fundraising efforts for health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) or related field
• Doctorate in Public Health is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or health promotion
