Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our analytical team. The ideal candidate will provide critical support in the development of actuarial models while undertaking sophisticated data analysis to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Implement actuarial methodologies to evaluate risks and pricing strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports on actuarial findings and present to senior management.
• Work with IT and data management teams to ensure data integrity.
• Perform sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of different scenarios.
• Participate in peer reviews and audits of actuarial work.
• Assist in training junior analysts on actuarial principles and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's in Actuarial Science or Mathematics

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in actuarial or statistical analysis

Technical Skills

• Risk Modeling
• Data Visualization Tools (e.g. Tableau)
• Machine Learning (optional)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• ASSA qualification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of insurance products: Understanding of various insurance products and their actuarial implications.
• Proficiency in R or Python: Hands-on experience with statistical programming languages.
