Job Description

The Yarn Sorter will be responsible for sorting and grading yarns based on quality, color, and texture. The ideal candidate should have a good eye for detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and grade yarns based on colour, quality, and texture.
• Identify defective yarns and report them appropriately.
• Utilize machines in the sorting operation efficiently.
• Keep your workspace tidy and well-organised.
• Assist team members with various tasks as needed.
• Perform regular checks on products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Document sorting processes accurately.
• Contribute to team discussions on improving operations.
• Follow operational protocols to ensure minimal waste.

Requirements

Education

• Matric/Grade 12 Certificate

Experience

• No prior experience required

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the textile industry: Experience in similar roles within textile manufacturing.
