We invite applications for the position of Insurance Underwriter in Cape Town. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to evaluate risks associated with insurance applications, determine policy coverage, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify tax-related issues.
• Assist clients during tax audits and provide support in dispute resolution.
• Train junior staff members on tax compliance processes.
• Maintain relationships with tax authorities for accurate and timely guidance.
• Review and interpret tax legislation to advise clients effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax advisory role

Technical Skills

• Tax Compliance Software
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Tax Advisor (CTA)
• Advocate or Legal Background is an advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with VAT regulations: Understanding of Value Added Tax legislation and its applications.
• Understanding of corporate finance: Knowledge of financial structures and their tax implications.
