Responsibilities

• Prepare a range of coffee drinks to meet customer preferences.
• Deliver outstanding service while interacting with customers.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment and the cafe space.
• Assist in stock management and supply ordering.
• Share knowledge about coffee origins and beverages.
• Help onboard new baristas and foster their development.
• Manage cash register duties and transactions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance overall service.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Barista certification or training program is a plus

Experience

• 1-3 years of barista or café experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Latte Art
• Point of Sale Systems

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Attention to Detail

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of food safety regulations: Understanding compliance with health and safety standards in food service.
• Barista competition experience: Participation in local barista competitions preferred.
