Event Planner

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Event Planner to join our growing team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with strong organizational skills and a passion for creating memorable events. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from conception to execution.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of event proposals and presentations for clients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at events.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
• Negotiate contracts with venues and vendors to get the best rates.
• Manage RSVP and guest lists to ensure accurate attendance.
• Handle last-minute changes and emergencies effectively.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and report on outcomes.
• Develop relationships with clients to enhance future collaborations.
• Participate in networking events to broaden client base.
• Utilize social media for event promotion and engagement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communication is preferred.
• Additional certifications in event management are advantageous.

Experience

• 5+ years of event planning experience, preferably in a corporate setting
