Job Description

As a Dredge Hand, you will operate and maintain dredging equipment, ensuring efficient dredging operations in various bodies of water. This role requires strong teamwork skills and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and monitoring of dredging activities.
  • Maintain dredging equipment and tools in good working order.
  • Conduct safety checks before and during operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project milestones.
  • Report any machinery malfunctions or safety issues to the Dredge Master.
  • Participate in safety training and team meetings regularly.
  • Conduct inspections of dredged materials for quality assurance.
  • Implement environmentally safe practices during dredging.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant technical qualification in maritime or construction field is advantageous
Experience
  • Additional experience in heavy machinery operation is a plus
