Mining Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Mining Engineer to join our team in Witbank. In this role, you'll leverage your technical skills and knowledge of mining processes to optimize operations and enhance safety protocols across our projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining projects from conception to completion.
• Analyze geological data to inform extraction techniques.
• Assist in the development of mining strategies that optimize production.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Support environmental assessments and sustainability initiatives.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance on mining equipment.
• Deliver presentations on project updates and performance.
• Facilitate workshops on safety practices and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
• Mentor and guide junior mining engineers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mining sector

Certifications
