Accounting Manager

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and lead our finance team in Johannesburg. This role demands expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and the implementation of effective financial strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with our executive team to ensure the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of financial reporting and analysis to provide accurate financial information.
• Ensure proper internal controls are in place and adhered to.
• Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Collaborate with external auditors and financial institutions as needed.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Lead financial planning initiatives to support business objectives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles

Technical Skills

• General Ledger Accounting

• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
• Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Experience with SAP: Familiar with using SAP software for accounting purposes.
