Electronics Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various electrical components and ensuring that they function properly. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for electronics, ensuring high standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and equipment according to diagrams and technical specifications.
• Test and troubleshoot completed circuits and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of production and quality control processes.
• Collaborate with other members of the production team to identify and implement process improvements.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing environment.
• Ensure quality checkpoints are met during assembly.
• Support inventory management by reporting component shortages.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss production progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
• IPC-A-610 certification preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Surface-Mount Technology (SMT)
• Testing Equipment

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronic systems: Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems: Knowledge of quality management standards in manufacturing.
