Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forging Machine Setter and Operator to play a vital role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for operating machinery and ensuring product quality while meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

• Set up forging machines and ensure they are appropriately calibrated.
• Monitor the production process to guarantee safety and quality.
• Report any machine malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Matric with Technical Subjects
• Diploma in Manufacturing Technology is a plus

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment

Technical Skills

• Forklift Operation
• Welding Techniques

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety: Certification indicating knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies: Experience in using Six Sigma tools and techniques to improve processes.
