Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to provide high-quality care to animals in Durban. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries on pets while collaborating with staff and pet owners to promote optimal animal health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical diagnosis and treatment of animals, including surgeries.
  • Advise pet owners on preventive health care and best practices.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to monitor and ensure healing.
  • Utilize imaging and laboratory results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the clinic is stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Build strong relationships with patients and their owners to foster trust.
  • Participate in team meetings to enhance clinic performance.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary legislation and ethical standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
  • Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary medicine preferred
Experience
