Job Description

The Nanotechnology Engineering Technologist role involves conducting research and development activities in the innovative field of nanotechnology. You will work collaboratively with a team of scientists and engineers to design, develop, and test new nanomaterials and devices, contributing to advancements within various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and development tasks in nanotechnology, focusing on device fabrication and material design.
  • Utilize advanced characterization techniques to analyze structural and functional properties of nanomaterials.
  • Assist in maintaining lab equipment and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with engineers and scientists to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Draft detailed research documentation and contribute to publications.
  • Facilitate technology transfer activities and liaise with external partners.
  • Monitor trends in nanotechnology and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Uphold laboratory safety protocols and assist in training new staff.
  • Engage in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field
  • Master's degree in nanotechnology or materials science is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nanotechnology or a related field.
