Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Allied Health Technician to join our healthcare team in Port Elizabeth. You will provide essential assistance in therapy sessions and ensure a supportive environment for patient healing.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff by assisting with patient assessments.
• Prepare and set up therapy equipment and materials.
• Communicate effectively with patients to foster a supportive environment.
• Document therapy sessions and update health records accordingly.
• Assist in conducting workshops for patient education.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers for coordinated patient care.
• Participate in health promotion and community welfare activities.
• Provide feedback on treatment efficacy and patient response.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Assist with administrative duties as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science or a similar field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role

• Physiotherapy Techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR): Familiarity with EHR systems to document patient interactions.
