Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health.
  • Implement vaccination and preventative health programs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding care plans.
  • Oversee treatment plans and medication administration.
  • Lead and mentor junior veterinary staff and interns.
  • Develop specialty areas of practice where applicable.
  • Manage emergency cases when necessary.
  • Contribute to the clinic's marketing and client engagement strategies.
  • Keep up to date with advancements in veterinary medicine.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Registered with the South African Veterinary Council
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in veterinary medicine
