Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We invite applications for the position of Mechanical Engineer based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing mechanical systems, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating closely with project managers and technicians to ensure the seamless execution of engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Draft detailed 3D models and engineering drawings of mechanical systems.
• Monitor project progress and provide status reports to project managers.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical design.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve design and operational issues.
• Perform calculations and simulations to test mechanical performance.
• Conduct site visits to oversee installations and perform inspections.
• Train and guide junior engineers and interns in best practices.
• Implement design changes based on feedback and testing results.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design or related fields

Languages
