Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon for our Durban clinic. This role requires a passion for animal care and the ability to perform surgeries and manage complex medical cases. You will work closely with a dedicated team of veterinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct examinations and diagnose diseases in animals.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as required.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create treatment plans.
  • Oversee surgical procedures and ensure post-operative care.
  • Engage in continuous education and professional development.
  • Participate in community outreach programs and veterinary fairs.
  • Respond to emergency cases and provide critical care.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and pets.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • SAVC registration
  • Additional certifications in pet behaviour or surgery are a plus.
Experience
  • 3+ years treating companion animals and exotics.
