Urban Developments SA is on the lookout for an Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The chosen candidate will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to design and implement urban development projects that enhance community well-being and promote sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Design urban spaces that are conducive to community interaction.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to clarify project goals and outcomes.
• Prepare comprehensive planning proposals for submission to local government.
• Assess the feasibility of proposed projects alongside urban regulations.
• Integrate transportation and infrastructure planning into urban projects.
• Conduct site visits to gather information about existing conditions.
• Utilize public input to refine planning proposals and address community concerns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in urban development or city planning

Technical Skills

• Planning Software

Certifications

• Certified Planner (CP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Tswana: Basic
