Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing engineering team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow in the manufacturing facility to ensure timely completion of production goals.
• Schedule routine maintenance for equipment to avoid operational delays.
• Assist in training new staff on scheduling processes and best practices.
• Evaluate supplier performance to support production scheduling decisions.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field
• Further education in business administration is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with production scheduling responsibilities

Technical Skills

• ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
